My arms hurt...
Sep. 28th, 2008 05:35 pm... but it's a good kind of pain. Yesterday, I participated in my first class of Haidong Gumdo, a Korean variant of swordsmanship that it best described as Japanese Kenjutsu spiced up with Chinese flourishes and bits of tumbling. I observed a class on Wednesday evening and decided that, yes, this will be fun upper body aerobic exercise for me. And it was! I've been looking a long time for some form of enjoyable prolonged aerobic activity that would strongly utilize my upper body (so I can tone that to match my legs) and I finally found it!
Better still, the two month intro package I paid for also included the price of a wooden practice sword, so I can also practice at home. The opening form should be easy enough for me to practice and master in the comfort of my own livingroom (Go, large Livingroom!). Yep, methinks this will be very good for me.
'Course, my arms ache a bit after yesterday's workout...
