Beats not Bullets
Aug. 21st, 2004 09:26 amThat was the event I attended last night: a concert to raise awareness about gun violence. The few acts I saw were quite talented. I was there to watch a dear friend of mine dance Flamenco. 'Twas good to see her again! After her performance, we had long, pleasant conversation over another great Thai dinner. By this point in the evening, I had managed to shed a lot of the stress that came with that morning's e-mail. The day ended well.
The morning started, umm... early. Well, at least early given how late I went to bed last night. My hostess, and other members of her household, are attending a morning wedding for friends of theirs and the ensuing preparations served as a sufficient alarm clock. Hopefully, being up this early will give me time to maybe, just maybe, get in two tourist events before the end of business hours. I may also connect with another friend later this afternoon.
Time to scrounge some breakfast...
