the_vultureI have Sunday off! My client for today called last night and cancelled Sundays, changing the date to Tuesdays instead. Given that all of my pottery work is done that leaves ummm... not a single pressing matter to deal with! I can be lazy all day if I want! Woohoo! Well, okay, wasting THAT much time would drive me nuts, but it does mean that I can take a relaxed pace at the stuff I *may* work on, including job apps, housecleaning, and/or sorting and packing.
Maybe, just maybe, I may work on some art, too. Sorting through old sketchbooks last night made me realize how long it's been since I've done any serious amount of sketching. I got a chuckle out of a lot of the cartoons and storyboards I had drawn. Do I feel bad tossing it all into the recycling bin? Well, given that I hadn't looked at any of it in many years, not really. Yes, I'm losing little bits of my artistic history, but, frankly, it takes up too much space and weight.
Could I be doing something else with my day? Hmmm... maybe a walk to the beach might be nice. The water might even be warm enough to swim in. We shall see...
Anyhow, it's time to do something useful.
