Ups and downs...
Jul. 4th, 2006 08:25 pmMonday was pretty active; I went to a new martial arts club and did an hour long lesson in Tai Chi, which was absolutely lovely and serene. The following hour long Gong Fu lesson, on the other hand, was perhaps the most brutal work out I've had in a very long time. I cannot remember the last time I came that close to puking as a result of cardio exertion! I was moving much slower the following day.
Today was a waste. I went to West Drayton to bring back my keys for the old flat, pick up any mail left over for me from there and sort out any damage deposit details. Of that, only the first got dealt with as the person who said he had the post for me wasn't in the office and those there couldn't reach him, although he had mentioned to other staff that there had been little mail for me. The folks at the office did agree to post me anything there was. In retrospect, all of the above could have been sorted out by post. The worst bit of all that, though, was that I was in Paddington Station when I got the call from
imapunkin asking where I was because she was approaching my home to surprise me. Argh! Instead of a wonderful surprise evening with her, I wound up spending hours in hot, sweaty trains and tubes. Sigh...
