The turkey is in the oven.
Oct. 9th, 2006 06:52 pmSeriously! Well, okay, a large chunk of turkey, anyhow. Got me a nice seasoned thigh that should be mighty tasty when done. I also have potatoes with bacon bits, stuffing, gravy, an aubergine (eggplant) dish, cranberry sauce and some tasty looking desert. This will be MUCH better than the sad excuses for turkey dinner I've had the last two Thanksgiving Days going!
Stuff to give thanks for includes a wonderful relationship with
imapunkin and family, a pleasant job (however long it lasts), good health (and getting better!), good flatmates, great friends, easy access to London, a great room, a nice town to live in, the opportunity to visit Bath, my new-found gaming group (had another hilarious session with some of the pupils from the school today), a great weekend with my sweetheart that included dinner at a Nepalese restaurant, easy access to great cider and perry, supportive colleagues, the beautiful view of Mother Moon that I've had out my window and other places the last few days, great kebab and Indian restaurants in easy walking distance, access to mead, Yule shopping that's almost complete (scoring some incredible deals!), clothes that fit me (and even, in a way, the clothes that are getting too big), a computer that's still stable, the opportunity to buy a cheap didge to learn on, a day spent at the beach this summer, this year's batch of 7s, places to shop for nifty things, scoring a great chain for myself (first piece of jewellery ever purchased for myself) and other bits of good stuff here and there.
Yes, I've much to be thankful for. Thank you!
