The Perfect Place

It is quite possible that marykate_gift has the most amazing place to live. As I type, I'm listening to the rhythmic chant of the waves coming to beach upon the shore, mere feet from an open window facing a broad expanse of glittering blue. The cool breeze carries with it the light tang of the ocean. I'm sitting in an incredibly comfortable easy chair situated in a cozy room, gently lit in ambiance by a sun still drifting from the other side of the beach house. About me are the furnishings of MK's den, including paintings, a well padded sofa, a very comfortable bed, and a shelving unit filled with fascinating art objects, all of which are embraced by the eggshell blue of the walls.

Last night, I got to watch an incredible sunset from the roof of the boathouse whilst enjoying a bit of wine and MK's fine company. I was lulled into a deep and restful sleep by the same waves that continue to weave their spell of tranquility.

I understand why she so deeply loves this place; it is perfect.

I so very much enjoyed having you share my world with me. It was wonderful to see you and laugh and talk with you... hard to believe it is going to be a while until I see you again... I can see how you are changing, you are as handsome as ever and I've found an even deeper sense of respect and friendship and gratitude that you remain a part of my life.

I'm so glad we connected.

Even *if* you didn't wake me up and now I am sunburned. I know it was out of love that you let me sleep on the roof. hahahahha twisted love perhaps... but love nonetheless...

Hi Gorgeous, thank you for sharing so much with me; that was an absolutely transcendent weekend. And I am also incredibly grateful for your friendship. But falling asleep in the sun was YOUR fault; I was just being courteous in waiting until you were finished doing whatever it was you were doing upstairs. How was I supposed to know you decided to bake in the sun? For all that I may have changed, I still have yet to develop telepathy! (chuckle)
