There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who don't.

I probably mind far, far less than the makers of the t-shirt I nicked the comment from in the first place. *chuckle*

HAHAHA!! I had to do a project in binary once, but I still don't understand it completely (CLEARLY I got a lot of help on that one!), but I totally get the joke!!! :D

I know enough about binary (including having once programmed on punch cards) to know that I do NOT want to ever full out program in it again. *chuckle* It'd also take me some doing to convert larger order numbers back and from decimal to binary.

Fortunately, one only needs to understand the concept to get the joke.

Patrick thinks that's hilarious. He mentions that to me now & then. I actually got him a binary clock a few years ago for the holidays. Damn thing is always blinking (blue lights). Can I read it? If you give me five minutes to write down things & do simple sums. Him, he can tell you at a glance. So... I use it for a night light. I don't run into the wall when a midnight urge to go piddle wakes me up!

A binary clock? Egads! Gimme one that reads off in Hiragana instead. I'd fare far better with that! Still, I do agree, I imagine it'd make a funky nightlight. *chuckle*

Hmmm... I'm not sure someone can get the joke without having at least a basic grasp of what binary is all about. Let's put it to the test: care to explain the joke? *impish grin*

I know that binary consists of ones and zeros. :)

That's a good start. :)

I've seen that one before and I love it... I usually answer it with : "There are three kinds of people in this world... Those who can count, and those who can't." :p

Usually takes people a few seconds to realize I'm kidding... hehe

*chuckle* I'll have to remember that one for the next time I catch somebody way too under the influence of something to think their way past that one.

(Yes, I'm evil.)
