I've just started Week 2 of training for the 10k with a nice 55 minute run. I was tempted to go the whole hour, but knew better than to push it. The race has been postponed till mid-May, on account of roadworks, so I no longer have to worry about taking shortcuts on the program (not that I haven't already; I only needed to run 40 minutes today). By the time this race rolls around, I'm going to be very well prepared for it.
