I'm too tired to read it but I must say that it truly boggles the mind; especially in this time of recession where so many people are finding it difficult to make ends meet. My hairdresser of 30 yrs has had to let one of his girls go because he can't afford to pay her. Sad indeed.

Well, I've been doing some reading into things, and there may have been some valid reasons for not assisting with the luggage in particular, as apparently United won't cover any of injury sustained by stewardesses from lifting objects, as they're not required to by union contract, but the way the situation was managed is just utter nonsense.

'Course, if I don't like it, my choices are... many actually, so, yeah, really dumb on United's part.

Google or YouTube "United breaks guitars". Some dude flew with them, they chucked his Taylor (read as : $$$$$$$$$$$) guitar carelessly in the luggage compartment and broke it, then pretty much said "Tough shit". Too bad he's a popular country artist, eh? He wrote three songs about how horrible they were. True Story.
